CREDIT GAPS
The Credit Gaps check-in is designed to support schools in managing the complexity of course scheduling by providing comprehensive tools to audit student programs and transcripts at the beginning of each term.

TASK:
Identify students who have credit gaps in their schedule. Determine if based on availability of courses whether scheduling changes are possible and record plans in tool for programmer to reference in adjusting schedules in STARS. Record plans for resolving any outstanding gaps in future terms.

TOOL:
The Credit Gaps Analysis Tool is a spreadsheet tool that helps schools efficiently and systematically identify credit gaps in a student’s current schedule.  By bringing in the student's schedule from STARS along with a count of credits they have earned in each of the graduation requirement subject areas, the tool highlights where there are gaps, flags excess credits in the student's program and allows staff to plan swaps to fulfill student's credit needs.
